As usual, for me, it always extreme happy to play, install and test the newly release patch version.
And again this time, I might be first person to play, install and test the HPSA 9.11 :) Today started to play with it in my VMs.
My HPSA VMs Configuration Details:
- 2 Oracle VMs:
RAM : 10GB
Hard Disk : 100GB
Oracle Version : Oracle 11g (11.1.0.7.0) Standard Edition
OS : RHEL 5 (64Bit)
-2 HPSA Core VMs:
RAM : 10GB
Hard Disk : 100GB
OS : RHEL 5 (64Bit)
* Upgrade of a standalone HPSA 9.10.02 core's [with local db] to 9.11, is very simple and easy. The patch install smooth without any issue as normal.
* Upgrade of a standalone HPSA 9.10.02 core's [with remote db] to 9.11, is also went well.
* Upgrade of single silce [and remote DB] HPSA 9.10.02 to 9.11 core also went well.
* Upgrade of 2 slices [and remote DB] HPSA 9.10.02 to 9.11 core also went well.
* Upgrade of Upgrade of 2 slices [and remote DB] HPSA 9.10.02 to 9.11 core also went well.
* Upgrade of a standalone HPSA 9.10 major version core's [with local db] to 9.11 got some issues but after the proper responds file ... it went well too.
After patch Upgrade, I tested a few HPSA functions, it worked as expected. :) Nothing much to complaint or log a case with HP Support.
There almost 100 important/major bugs that are fixed in the HPSA 9.11 version. I will post another blog with all the details and new findings.
I also patched HPSA 9.11 on a multiple cores and in a multi-master mesh about 10 times. No failures faced.
If you have questions on this HPSA 9.11 release or installation issues, please feel free to contact me. Good Luck.
